Privacy policy

In short

We collect only what Laivo needs to work, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t show ads.

What we collect

• Account: your email, your name if you give it, when you agreed to these terms, and whether you want news emails.
• Your work: your designs, and the photos, videos and fonts you add.
• Payments: your plan, its status and renewal date, and the last four digits and brand of your card, from our payment partner. We never see or store your full card number.
• Problem reports: when Laivo breaks, a short report (what went wrong, the page address and the app version) so we can fix it. It doesn’t include your designs.
• Visits: a count of page visits, with no cookies and no tracking across sites.

What we use it for

To run your account, save and sync your designs, take payments, fix problems, and send emails you need (like a link to sign in). News emails only if you ticked the box; you can stop them at any time.

Who helps us run Laivo

They only process data for us. Where your data lives lists each of them, what it gets, why and for how long.

• Google Firebase: sign-in.
• Cloudflare: hosting, the database, file storage, problem reports and the visit count.
• Lemon Squeezy: payments, as the seller of Pro; it has its own privacy policy for what you give it at checkout.
• Google (the Gemini API), Anthropic (Claude) and Recraft: only when you use an AI tool (see AI tools below).

Where your data is kept

On servers outside Oman, such as in the US, run by the services on Where your data lives. Laivo asks you to agree to this when you make your account, and when you join an organisation.

How long we keep it

• Your account and designs stay until you delete them or close your account.
• Deleted items may remain in backups for up to 30 days.
• Designs you delete stay in Trash for 30 days, then they’re deleted for good.
• Problem reports are kept for a few days.

Your choices

• You can see, download or delete your designs at any time.
• You can download all your designs, or delete your account, in Account → Your data.
• To get a copy of your account data or correct it, email support@laivo.dev.
• You can complain to your local data protection authority.

For anything about your personal data, email support@laivo.dev. We answer within 45 days, as the law in Oman asks, and within 30 days if you live in Saudi Arabia.

If your data is ever exposed, we will tell you, and the authority that oversees us, within 72 hours of finding out.

Children

Laivo is for people 18 and older.

Cookies and storage

Laivo keeps your sign-in and your work in your browser’s storage so it works offline. No advertising cookies.

AI tools

Before your first AI tool, Laivo asks you to agree once. Nothing is sent before that, and only when you press the tool.

What each tool sends

• Smart erase and Replace part: the part of the photo around what you painted or tapped, at most 1,024 pixels across, a copy of it with that area marked, a mask of the area, and for Replace part the words you typed.
• Enhance, Expand a photo and New background: the photo you chose, and for New background the words you typed.
• Sharper shapes: the picture as it shows in your design.
• Generate a picture: the words you typed to describe it, and the style and shape you chose. No picture is sent.
• Design from a prompt: the words you typed, and the text or photo you added to them. Translate and Write copy send the words of your pages.
• Looking facts up: when a design is about a real person, company or place and you press Look it up, the words you typed go to a web search.

Nothing else from your design is sent.

What happens to it

It goes through Laivo’s own server to an AI service:

• Google, through the Gemini API: the photo tools, Generate a picture, the words of the pages, Translate and Write copy, and looking facts up with Google Search. Google keeps what is sent for up to 55 days to check for misuse, and a look-up for 30 days, then deletes it. On the paid Gemini API, Google does not use prompts or responses to improve its products.
• Anthropic (Claude): the outline and the directions of a design from a prompt, and looking facts up when Google can’t. Anthropic deletes what is sent within 30 days, and its Commercial Terms say it may not train models on it.
• Recraft: Sharper shapes, or Smart erase when Gemini can’t do the job. It may keep what is sent for up to 55 days to check for misuse, then deletes it.

None of them uses it to train AI. Laivo keeps the result only until it is in your design; a picture you generate is kept with your files.
